Matthew co-founded Erso Capital in 2020. Based in London, Matthew is a member of Erso’s Board of Directors.
Matthew is also a Director of TheJudge, a well-known market leading litigation insurance firm which specialises in commercial litigation.
Since 2000, Matthew has been at the cutting edge of developments in litigation insurance and funding both within the UK and in other jurisdictions around the world. His role in the market has been recognised by industry peers. In 2020, he was named as a Ranked Individual in the first ever Chambers & Partners Litigation Support rankings, focusing on the litigation funding broker market.
He is regularly invited to share his expert commentary on the state of the industry at legal conferences, in the press, and in industry publications such as Practical Law and those published by the Law Society.
Now, with Erso Capital, Matthew will be relying on his time as an underwriter for a major legal expenses insurance company as well as 15 years of experience arranging funding for complex commercial disputes to deliver innovative solutions for litigants and law firms.
